I'm in 100+ Meta ad accounts. 20 of them spending $1M+/month. At Statiq we ship 10,000+ ads a month, so this isn't a take: it's what the data across every account we work with shows.
Subscribe free and the full playbook unlocks right here. You'll also get one breakdown like this, straight from actual data (no guru guesses), every week.
1. Text-heavy Statics

Nooro - MOF Static Ad
Why this performs?
A wall of text shouldn't work on Instagram, But your brain doesn't filter it as an ad. By the time you realize you're being sold to, you've already finished reading.
No product shot either.
This one's built to end in a quiz, not a straight click to buy.

Grüns - BOF Static Ad
Why this performs?
No visual gimmick, just a headline and a story.
And it doesn't try to reach everyone: it's built for one specific group, people with gut issues who travel.
That specificity is what makes it convert.
2. Podcast-style Videos
Why this performs?
Two people talking about a subject the brand and their consumers actually care about.
the product gets referenced because the brand sponsors the conversation, not because the conversation is about the product.
If the product is targeted for men, they talk about “dude topics”. If it’s for girls, the discussed topic will try to emulate “Call Her Daddy” convos.
3. Animated Videos

Why this performs?
Anything that has to teach a mechanism to sell → gut, sleep, focus, hormones, wins with this format.
Cartoon characters inside a stomach explaining how a probiotic works. A liver animated to explain cortisol.
Pixar-style renders.
And on the weirder end, full horror-movie characters doing a bit that has nothing to do with biology at all, like the one above.
4. Offer Statics

BOF - Static Ad - Dr. Squatch
Why this performs?
Headline, offer, product → BOF ads make the final move, sustained by good enough TOF.
It's actually where you can go the most creative, the most composed, the highest production value in the whole account.
It only works because the rest of the account already did the stopping.
5. Yapping Videos

Why this performs?
Talking to camera in a car, in the kitchen, in the bathroom, about whatever.
No filters, no edit, looks like it was posted on the go.
6. Ugly Statics

Ryze - BOF Static Ad
Why this performs?
It looks made by someone who doesn’t understand design principles, like someone grabbed random colors and fonts and just went with it.
The “too much” feeling stops the scroll and, also, it offers an offer you can’t reject.

Nooro - TOF Ad
Why this performs?
Notes app screenshot. Zero production. Looks cheap on purpose.
7. Native Statics

BB Company - BOF Ad
Why this performs?
Looks like a Facebook post your aunt would share → no text on the image, just a caption underneath on Meta that reads like a real story, not an ad.
The ones that consistently earn the click almost always have the same thing in the shot: an authority figure.
The natives actually printing right now skip the advertorial and link the CTA straight to the product page → no "here's the science" article in between.
The mix
The accounts spending $1M+/month don't run one format harder. They run several at the same time, inside the same account, all the time.
You can't industrialize variety the way you can industrialize volume. Somebody has to make the calls on what's worth making. AI doesn't.
Volume isn't a strategy anymore. It's a consequence of doing the work right.
